Over the years I've been lucky enough to find my way into the tech industry, and more recently into the maker space. As I've journeyed into this space, I've naturally noticed the lack of people "like me" or in other words, other women.
Each day that I operate in technology, I understand more deeply why this matters. For this reason, I recently created FeMake, the home of data on women makers. I also wrote this article to accompany it.
More recently, I gave this talk to dozens of women encouraging them to join me in what is hard to deny the most influential industry.
I would encourage both men and women to learn more about this topic and how it relates to a more beneficial future for all.
